A Mini Shoot in a Lazy Afternoon in UP (Part 1)

Hi! If you're new here, please find time to view my Gallery. You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! :)

I was pretty much bored the past few months without really shooting anything from my Nikon D60, so I finally decided to join a random photo shoot at one lazy afternoon in UP. Shooting again has not been good, I was idle for almost three months and the gloomy weather adds to the boredom. And so I’m shooting again…portraits with some random creepy cosplay theme to add to it.

UP Shoot Donna1

The theme for the shoot was really intended for a boy+girl tandem of Adam and Eve, but my friend invited his friend Donna who likes to cosplay to just join and pose for us for some hours. Donna herself is a DSLR user. She shares a Nikon D80 DSLR along with her brother, but then for the shoot she was the model.

UP Shoot Donna2

Personally I can say that she looks like a doll herself. We interviewed her for some time and I was actually curious on what character is she patterning herself into since I’m not really familiar with Animé characters. Surprisingly, she said something about Ball-jointed dolls , those almost life-size Korean dolls that are just expensive. Quite creepy to look at actually but they are beautiful…but then I wouldn’t bother putting my money on dolls…I would rather put money on the gear I use…hahahahaha :P

UP Shoot Donna3

I like it everytime I join a mini-gathering or shoot. I just learn new things every time I join one like the one in UP. Everything is a learning experience…like on this one… I realized that I should really start reading and watching more stuff about Animé and Ball-jointed dolls etc. if I want to shoot subjects in cosplay etc. ;)

Well, this is only Part 1 on this Mini Shoot. I have another post for the Adam and Eve theme. :P

It’s really nice how you were able to capture that look. :worship: Good thing you had Donna for the shoot. She’s been into cosplay and dressing up for a long time. Kudos!

Thanks ^_^. Me and my friend will be shooting with Donna as the model again some other time. She really has that look of a doll. :)
