What’s with bugs and multiple vision? I can’t imagine what at world it will be if I’m bug-eyed, but I really appreciate capturing things at a different vision or perspective with my Lomography Supersampler camera.

Using an a toy action camera at a recent Lomowalk was really unintentional. My Olympus XA2’s batteries finally gave up on me just before the Lomowalk started, so I was forced to transfer a roll of slide film into my my Supersampler (which I brought for my friend Nan, so that he can borrow it from me the whole walk). :p

Cloudy days and action cameras like the Supersampler don’t really jive. To add to the mess, I used an ISO 100 Kodak Ektachrome slide film…which was a no-no in the first place if you’re talking about film ISOs and their respective environments. I was literally almost shooting blind, as I also lost my Supersampler’s viewfinder and hand to cope with using an improvised film cardbard to serve as my viewfinder for the toy camera. So I did just gamble with my shots in hope that there would be results after the whole thing.

I was shooting towards the sun, clouds, made rat’s eye view of shots, shooting by the hip etc. All I wanted from the whole walk was to get lucky shots to keep.

To my surprise just a while ago when I was importing photos from my Digiprint CD, I have been able to recover all the shots that were from the whole roll of film. Another surprise was the color of the pictures from cross-processing. I just love surprises from doing some lomo once in a while. I also lost my viewfinder, I just discovered now. And I’ve only used my camera once (meaning one roll of film). Bummed.
How did you replace it? I’m clueless of what to do. My viewfinder’s probably somewhere in SF.
Hi,
Sorry for the long overdue reply! I’m actually on a long vacation.
Hmm.. What I did was just tape a card behind the camera. Cut it in such a way you position it the same way as the lost viewfinder. That’s it.
I hope I helped you on that. It works for me.
