Davao Food Appreciation Tour Series (Part1)

Our Cebu Pacific Plane to Davao by Maki Eduardo

I didn’t sleep when I came home from the office to packs lots of stuff for the Davao Food Appreciation tour. I packed a LOT of things with me…color coded inside the BIG red trolley too. It was actually my mom’s suggestion to pack almost everything she picks up from my cabinet. I brought a blowdryer, toiletries, electronics, medicine, etc. It was as if I was packing for a 2-week stay in Davao instead of only one! :p

I arrived at NAIA3 at around 330am. I thought I was late but then I was able to catch up with other bloggers for a morning munch at Dulcinea. We made it just in time inside the after most of us didn’t notice that the flight was already making a last call to its passengers. And so most of us slept in the plane. almost 2 hours later, we landed in Davao…greeted by cloudy skies and rainshowers. :p

I was even laughing to myself at one time because I did put so much effort applying sunblock at 2am to get ready for a sunny Davao weather. I also laughed at my fellow photoblogger Fritz, when he made a plurk about his ‘Oplan Shades FAIL’..hahaha. :p

We arrived at Casa Leticia and finally unpacked our bags. I went with 2 uber-sweet couples (Markku and Hana), (Aileen and Jaydj) to Samal Island! Haha, I was left with no partner of course..coz I’m single from just a month ago. *coughs* :P Well, enough of that..no more details on why I’m single…sniff.

Boat Ride to Samal by Maki Eduardo

After a boat ride, we arrived to Paradise Island resort. We had breakfast there and the others went for a swim. Afterwards, we went around to walk around the area. There are a lot of activities that can be done there. There was also this aviary with all sorts of birds.

Our stay on the island was cut short. We had a pending lunch schedule at Tadakuma. I’ll feature that in my next post.;)
