Davao Food Tour: Lachi’s

Lachi's Sansrival ATBP. Davao City by Maki Eduardo

I truly enjoyed Lachi’s from the rest. There wasn’t something that I didn’t like from their menu. I love sweets, chocolates, pastries, cheesecakes etc.! :p I would really pay some Davao Bloggers to fly in some Lachi’s products for me when some would come here at Manila this coming May for the iBlog5 Summit! :D So Here are the ones we got from them:

Pork Marinara, Lachi's, Davao City by Maki Eduardo

Pork Marinara

This will be one of the dishes I’ll remember from Lachi’s. It’s Ms. Aileen Apollo’s favorite pasta from Lachi’s. The sweetness of the sauce is balanced by the fried pork toppings, along with the oven-baked cheese on top. I think one order of this is good for two people to share. As for Ms. Aileen, she finished everything! Hahaha :P

Baby Back Ribs, Lachi's Davao City by Maki Eduardo

Baby Back Ribs

Lachi’s has one of the most-affordable price on their Baby Back Ribs. Compared to what is served here in Manila, you can really taste that theirs is fresh, and half a slab costs so cheap, you would just wish that there was a Lachi’s restaurant in Metro Manila.

Creme Brulee, Lachi's Davao City by Maki Eduardo

Creme Brulee

Their Creme Brulee was served on ceramic spoons for us to eat. It was a sellout for most of us. It had a tough sugar coating on the outside and an oh-so-creamy and yummy inside. We just wanted to bite everything off the spoons, it was that yummy.

Sans Rival, Lachi's Davao City by Maki Eduardo

San Rival

I haven’t forgiven myself on not being able to take home a box or two of their signature Sans Rival dish. I’ve tasted it though and it was just one of the best and yet, cheapest Sans Rival out there. I’ve been really envying the prices of most dishes in Davao since I flew back here in Manila. I’ve been also craving for a Lachi’s Sans Rival with those layers of pure taste of heaven! Hahaha, my apologies…I just love sweets…I really do. :p

Blueberry and Cherry Cheesecake, Lachi's, Davao City by Maki Eduardo

Blueberry Cheesecake

I love having a Blueberry Cheesecake after dinner with my parents. Well, a Blueberry Cheesecake is a Blueberry Cheesecake. What I think defines Lachi’s and their cheesecakes is the creaminess and retaining that cheesy flavor on their cheesecakes. The crust is also not that hard compared to other cheesecakes. The Blueberry’s flavor doesn’t overpower the cheesy flavor of the dessert. It’s just perfect.

Cherry Cheesecake

Compared to the Blueberry Cheesecake, this was my favorite. I even took one home but I couldn’t help but eat it already at the airport! (Whoops…hahaha)

Durian Cheesecake, Lachi's Davao City by Maki Eduardo

Durian Cheesecake

I haven’t tasted Durian before they gave me a whole slice of this. I was wondering why my fellow bloggers didn’t really took a bite of this. I however, finished the whole slice. Maybe I like the taste of Durian…I wonder, but the slice of this cheesecake was really a sellout for me. There was just this feeling after eating a Durian Cheesecake. My lips felt warm. I asked Ria about it and it was really an effect of eating Durian and Durian products. It makes you feel warm after. Hmm..interesting.

By the way, I would like to thank the twin owners of Lachi’s Davao. :D
