This one is before I left mactan
Olango Island isn’t really touched by modern civilization. It is a bird sanctuary.

I came there for bird watching and shooting some infrared and asides. It was interesting enough to know that it’s only an island away from Bohol already.

It’s amazing how parts of the island transform when it’s low tide.

the island is an endless bed of mangroves

There were also many mangroves, species of hermit crabs, birds, small fishes that look like mega tadpoles at the island.

There was also this gazebo with leading steps that only appear when it’s low tide.

Same goes with the house on stilts just by the shore. I can’t seem to get enough of this island in one day even with bad weather.

Being alone in the other part of the island for half a day is very liberating. There was even a point of no return if the tides went high again with the strong winds of the crazy weather. Nevertheless, the island gave me a peaceful feeling and appreciation of the beauty of the world that’s yet to be seen if I only step out and travel-which I’ve never done for the past 21 years of my life. Hmm..or just learn more about how to go about with Infrared Photography (I still suck
).

The most beautiful sunset in Cebu can be seen on this place. I’ll come back probably November to shoot scapes here and birds.
@maje- thanks
Travelling alone and taking pictures was really awesome…but then it can get scary. I just limit myself to tour around the City during daytime.
Try travelling or flying alone…haha, I’ve been trying to do things alone lately and so far I’m enjoying it.
these photos were taken by professional photographer!! and thats you Maki!!
@rouwell- Wow..thanks for the compliment sir but I really admit I’m just a hobbyist who started DSLR photography last april 2008 and started shooting landscape photography last march 2009 only.
Wah…I still need to learn a lot!
Wow!
This place is certainly worth visiting.
