There were so many of us who joined in this day activity. It’s quite expensive to go on a wild water rafting adventure. I paid 2000 PHP for my participation during the day (*inclusive of packed lunch). From the start, we were made to watch this video on what to expect about wild water rafting and we were just stunned in seeing capsizing rafts, people falling off, big rocks, waves etc. Afterall, wild water rafting is considered an extreme sport! We even signed waiver forms.

All of us went into basic training on how put our gear on, holding our paddles, how we should position ourselves inside the raft and all other wild water rafting terms like:
For our group, Mr. Wong Lucilla from Outland Adventure was our trainer and main guide. After learning the basics, we also went for a dry run in rescuing each other just in case someone falls of the raft.

Being pulled here..hehehe

I look like someone who drowned here..LOL. :p
All of us were also taught how to drift. It’s when you put yourself into a supine position with your body going with the flow of the river. Hmm I don’t have a picture but it’s one of the coolest things I learned at wild water rafting. If you fall of the raft, your body shouldn’t go against the flow of the water…you’ll drown!

So even before the white water rafting proper started, we were already wet and more or less…ready to get some wet and wild action! Hoohah!

4 hours of paddling, swimming, laughing etc. It was all worth it!
I actually plan to come back to Davao for the 3rd time this year for more fun activities and taking pictures. Of course, I would love to go wild water rafting again! Hehehe!

Here’s a well-documented video of our Monday Bible Study group’s Wild Water Rafting Adventure.
