Infrared Photography in Cebu City

While I was in Cebu, I tried doing some False Color Infrared Photography at different places in the city. I’m actually just new into this field of photography and it can really turn out as quite a challenge. Wait…It is challenging! LOL. Compared to others, my pictures still suck. :P

The post-processing part to make the colors emerge and everything else snowy is a challenge. I’ve done monochromatic infrared images and processing infrared in mono is just a singe, leaving you in just adjusting the feel of the image so you just have to worry about composition and exposure.

Infrared Photography is turning out to be one of my disappointments, my happiness, my passion. It’s a beautiful mess in other sorts. Colors can be as wild and boring, but in the end it makes other people wonder where in the world you shot your picture by just simply blocking the visible range of light. :D

Here’s my share for my Cebu City Infrared Photography set. Bear with me and my pictures! LOL. :P

Still ok after viewing my photos? Please don’t leave my blog…LOL. :P Apologies for my work, most of my shots were done without a tripod. One of the things I learned is to use a tripod, even for converted infrared cameras to maximize the sharpness  and the depth of field of the photo. I’ve done different experimental workflows for the photos, so far it can be cumbersome if one’s goal is to include more colors in adjusting levels from the taken shot.

You readers of my blog can expect more of this kind of photography in my trips. :) Feel free to comment or suggest how I can make my shots better. I would appreciate the constructive criticism and deepen my knowledge and expertise in this field. You can also send me useful links or book titles for me to read. (LOL. I’m just a newbie really! :P )
