Now for my Raves!

I was able to go to this recently-concluded Apple Asia’s press briefing on the new products as well as the updated iTunes 9 software. As Apple Asia’s Senior Product Manager on iPod Product Marketing EY Yeo said, “You can readily expect new Apple Products with every new iTunes version.” I was able to hold the new iPod Units and here’s on what I think that’s something to rave about the new iPod versions, specifically the Shuffle and the 5th Generation Nano:
iPod Shuffle:

Well, for one thing it’s so small that girls like me can even were it like a hairclip!
. They now all come in sleek new colors and the most attractive Shuffle for me is the polished aluminum one that is just perfect to be paired with my Aluminum Macbook. The said version of the shuffle can be ordered online at the Apple Store, as I remember, it’s availability is limited to and dependent on the online store. (Correct me if I’m wrong here). Lots of VoiceOver features are integrated in the new version. It says what’s currently playing (songs, artists and playlists) and even tells you when the battery is full. The VoiceOver feature of the new shuffle reminds me of the iPod Nike+ Kit training buddy speaking.
Ipod Nano 5th Generation (the apple of our eyes during the press launch):

After holding units of the new Nano, I can finally say that I want one for Christmas!
(Silver, Black or Red one please
). A basic info about the latest iPod Nano is that it now shoots video on a 640X480 pixel VGA resolution and has a bigger 2.2-inch display, counting that it still carries the same weight as the previous version. Pretty good eh? Shooting video can be done in portrait or landscape mode in the new Nano. In recording a clip, a user can choose among 15 Real Time Video Effects and because it can now record video, it is already given that it now currently has a built-in voice recorder. Another thing that made me Oomph for the new iPod Nano is that it now has built-in speakers. Even with its comparably-small size, it even butts out my 2nd Generation iPod touch’s speakers.
Awwww…

And don’t you just hate it when someone nudges you while you’re listening to your favorite tunes or shows on the radio? In the new Nano, there’s this really cool feature called Live Pause. It lets you pause and passively record the current song or show for a maximum of 15minutes so that you can catch up with your listening. For the runners, this is just the perfect running buddy. There’s a built-in pedometer to count your steps, calories burned and like the previous generation, it is compatible with a Nike+ Kit.

Haha, I don’t know with the owners of the previous generations of the iPod Nano but I myself who used to have the 4th generation one can’t take but violently react on how my previous music player can’t compare to the new features and built of the 2009 5th generation version. The 5th gen Nano even falls at the same price as last year’s (is “I hate you Steve Jobs” in your minds already?
). Hehehe…but then I’m happy to ditch my 4th generation Nano for an iPod Touch and now I can finally have a reason to acquire this 5th generation gadget. Wahahaha!
