They showed me what was done on some parts of the car and I wasn’t satisfied so the the guys called for some markers while I pointed out the parts that still need some improvement. I think I gave them a hard time haha, I made them mark so many spots that needed some sanding and more buffing. On the light of things I was satisfied by how my car smelled and everything inside looked like new…Hehe

Here, there..so many paint dimples everywhere!

Sorry guys! Work isn’t finished yet. I’m the O.C and meticulous type of person.
Out of my curiosity, I asked around Toyota where they kept the damaged cars that were stricken by the flood of Ondoy. When I saw another red Yaris, I felt like a thorn was pulled out of my system and I began to be thankful despite the huge delay on my car’s service which made me really cranky since I’m already out of track with my usual schedule.

Oh my..good thing that’s not mine!

Inside..tsk tsk

Here’s the silver unit
It turned out that the two Yaris units (the red and silver one) were completely immersed in the flood. The red one still had some water residue inside it with the stereo speakers still wet and everything inside taken out. The guy in Toyota told me that everything had to be cleaned and disassembled and as expected, each units needed a new computer box system worth 40,000 or more. Yikes…

What the service crew find difficult is that they have to push the Ondoy stricken cars inside the Service Center. The engines should not be started after being immersed. Engines need multiple change oils first.

Everyone’s pretty busy inside Toyota. Many workers are occupied in cleaning units, repairing the connections, there were just so many cars in repair.

From what has happened from typhoon Ondoy and all those damaged cars, I asked about my car’s insurance whether it has this so-called Act of God Insurance. It turns out the stock insurance service at Toyota doesn’t have that kind of insurance. Right now, I’m really thinking about extending my car’s insurance to have that Act of God insurance just in case my car gets damaged in similar incidents like the recent typhoon. Whew.

Thanks for letting me shoot around guys!

Sana nga lang walang masasamang loob na pinagtritripan ang kotse mo sa parking lots :p Did you know I got free parking sa LTO in Rizal Pasig because some mystery douche scratched my car bigtime with a key? :p
This is the first time inayos siya hehehe..last na sana. *fingers crossed*

@jdGONEMAD- Thanks..I owe the blog layout to none other than my good good friend Jehz of http://www.jehzlau-concepts.com!
Yes, you are very very lucky. I have a red yaris, 2009, matic – no plates yet, and a gray innova, all power, no plates yet – that we got from toyota bel-air –> all underwater.
I live in Provident Village, Marikina City.
Yes – the first thing that Toyota told us after the typhoon was – Mam, unfortunately your insurance does not cover “Act-of-God”. And when we asked when they can tow our cars – they said – we were priority C and there were already 200 cars lined up in Bel-Air, Makati, for repair.
Even if we lost our house (water reached 2nd floor), our family is safe.
Three cars underwater (1 Mazda hatchback) – and now at my cousin’s shop in Pasig. Lucky that im part of a family of Car Racers.
Our first priority now is – to have at least one car working, so we can use it to mobilize things in Provident Village.
Yup – you are lucky – its good you still have your car – all buffed up and clean.
God Bless!
My jaw dropped when I read your replay ma’am
Waaah… I like the 2009 version pa naman!
So ma’am are the cars still under repair or now for sale as is after the incident?
I’m also curious about the situation at Provident Village. Any plans in selling the property and moving into another area? How are the cleanup operations?
Oh and by the way ma’am your surname reminded me of my favorite Theology 151 teacher at the Loyola Schools. I wonder if you’re related to him.
I hope all of you will recover from this big challenge. Sometimes God paves the way for us to make us walk the path he is leading us to. At times of difficulty it can really confuse us that sometimes we have to be stripped off of some things along the way. Some words of encouragement ma’am, I hope this cheers you and your family up:
1Peter 6-7:
6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
God Bless You Po
cute ni baby Yaris.. ^__^
Mabuti na survive pa.. flooded na lahat buti kung ok pa rin engine ni “Yaris”?
Total Overhaul b?
db napasukan ng tubig?
saang toyota center yan?
My sister has a Yaris too – interesting photos, I will send her the link. Hope the car is ok now, looks nice
