It has been 9 months since I haven’t used my Fisheye 2 camera. It was back in January when I lost its viewfinder or ‘eye’ at Horticulture Exhibit in Quezon City while I was shooting flowers with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens. From then on, I haven’t finished my roll of Kodak Ektachrome film that was loaded inside the camera. I think the film did already rot inside the camera, but what the heck, I can’t wait for another surprise when I’ll have that forgotten roll developed.

It was only recently that I told my friend Gino from Lomomanila that I miss using my Fisheye 2 because I lost a viewfinder and how I wanted to buy just the part that I lost from my camera to be able to use it again. I bought my Fisheye 2 from my batchmate and LSI graphic artist Aaron Roselo back in January 2008 for 3600PHP. As far as I want to shoot with the view of a fish, I still want to save money..hehe. Going back to my conversation with Gino on YM, he directed me to the contact form of LSI and ask them directly if I can acquire just the viewfinder. So I followed what he told me and honestly told the details about my Fisheye 2 and losing the viewfinder to LSI.
Surprisingly enough, LSI replied to my query and made me very happy:

LSI will send me the viewfinder I lost for free! Woot! I can’t wait to attach that new one with my almost 2-year old Fisheye 2. I haven’t been shooting in film for a while, I also haven’t developed my shots back from my Davao Trip last July, I’ll send them to Digiprint soon so that I can finally share them here at my blog. Hmm..maybe I should build my lomo category here and be active again in that!
Here’s one of my first shots with it:

and this one (bwahahaha
):

The lenscap booboo shots never fail to amuse me
I’m just very happy, the Fisheye 2 is my favorite camera from LSI.
Browse around my blog to see Fisheye 2 related shots.
I’ll give an update/unboxing post with regards to the viewfinder they’re sending me.
