The sunset was during my stay in HongKong was just perfect, and the LX3 had a 24mm wide angle area of coverage and a 16:9 aspect ratio that was enough to capture the wonderful sight.

Amazingly enough…there was a boat sailing across and did hit the mark of the area where the sun’s rays were. My mom told me I shouldn’t post the picture because it was worth keeping offline…but then here’s the picture. I hope you readers like it.

The sun was like a big red ball of fire. It was huge from the naked eye, but it looked small on this shot because the LX3 can’t zoom further.

The sunset was just quick…For a moment the sun was floating and just after a minute or so, it just vanished behind the buildings.

I was in awe of the magical colors that enveloped the sky during that time. It was like an upside-down rainbow full of warm colors.

Goodbye beautiful sunset!
As a side note, I’m really amazed with the performance of the Panasonic Lumix LX3 from the moment I started shooting with it. The Panasonic colors are vibrant, each shot was crystal clear with minimal amounts of noise that others may mistake the shots from the little camera to a DSLR…It must have been from having a Leica lens. The sunset shots had no editing. Truly, I coin the LX3 as a little beast with a point and shoot body with DSLR picture quality. I love it, and I hope you readers enjoyed seeing how the Sunset I witnessed back in HongKong went.
