Extended Route

I went beyond my usual round robin route when I run in Highstreet. What I really appreciate about running the lighter feeling I have when I run a different route than just run for so many times in just one way.

The usual run I have is a 1.2km run around Bonifacio High Street (partial 11th avenue, 30th, 7th, then 28th street. After running the same route, I felt mentally tiring and the crowds taking that kind of route are just piling up, not to mention the number of cars passing by.

Tonight I extended the route to 11th avenue, 30th, part of 7th, 29th, 5th, and 26th street. I’ve always wanted to run on 32nd street that extends all the way to the Buendia flyover but what the heck, there’s no decent sidewalk on that avenue to run! Haha…

Well, here’s my run for tonight..average pace run for me but I barely noticed adding up some speed that went as fast as 13kph…I wonder where that came from. I also experience some discrepancy with the GPS because the results showed that I ended my run zigzagging the rough on 11th avenue, but I really ended up at the middle of Highstreet just infront of Fully Booked.

I’m running for the Condura run this Sunday. I’m excited to map it and I hope to finish it. It’s another goal for me…it’s a half-marathon. I hope I can sustain my endurance on that run from the night runs I do after office hours. I’ll be needing more of those sports beans…*crosses fingers*
